Pride March Victoria recognises and celebrates the people and events that inspire the courage, solidarity, pride, diversity and strong sense of community of Victoria's gay, lesbian, bisexual, intersex and transgender people. We organise cultural activities that bring our community together in a safe and positive environment.

The annual Pride March is our signature event and celebrates a bright future while preserving our history. It is a key date on Victoria's cultural calendar and a destination for interstate and international visitors.

Calendar of Events

Pride March Victoria produces three major events on an annual basis: Pride March Victoria; the Great Aussie Bake-Off; and the Pride March Street Fair.

  • Pride march Victoria
    Event Description
    Held on the first Sunday of each year, this annual event is a highlight on the annual LGBT calendar. The City of Port Phillip is the principle sponsor. Refer to our Sponsors & Patrons page to see which wonderful businesses support us.
  • The Great Aussie Bake-Off
    Event Description
    Fun is the key to this fundraising event. Held each year (around October) at DT's Hotel, individuals, community groups and businesses alike are encouraged to bake a cake, novelty item or jam/chutney so the organisation can auction it off to raise much needed funds.

  • Pride March Street Fair
    Event Description
    Held on the north side of Melbourne, the Street Fair is designed for fun with a capital F! Marquees selling goods, food, drinks and non-stop entertainment are all par for the course. We also crown the annual King & Queen of Pride at this event. Congratulations to Kimberley and Destiny for winning this year (pictured right).

  • Pride March Official Launch
    Held on the grounds of the St. Kida Town Hall on the first Tuesday of January from 6pm (then afterward at the GH). All members of the public, sponsors, media and other interested parties are encouraged to attend.
